Mexico: Teotihuacan

Teotihuacan

Teotihuacan, a pre-Columbian city and pyramids in central Mexico.

Hot and hazy.

Difficult to breath at this height.

The constant sound of Mexican flutes.

Calm and mystery.

The complex takes up a HUGE area. The smaller constructions are still being uncovered.

I was fascinated by how the shapes of the pyramids are corresponding with the outline of the surrounding hills, whichever way you look.

The town was abandoned around 7th or 8th century A.C., possibly due to changing weather conditions.
