Teotihuacan
Teotihuacan, a pre-Columbian city and pyramids in central Mexico.
Hot and hazy.
Difficult to breath at this height.
The constant sound of Mexican flutes.
Calm and mystery.
The Pyramid of the Sun |
The complex takes up a HUGE area. The smaller constructions are still being uncovered.
The Pyramid of the Moon |
The Pyramid of the Sun and the Avenue of the Dead |
I was fascinated by how the shapes of the pyramids are corresponding with the outline of the surrounding hills, whichever way you look.
The Temple of the Feathered Serpent |
The town was abandoned around 7th or 8th century A.C., possibly due to changing weather conditions.
